RETURNING TO THE CHURCH

What does this mean?

At the suggestion of both the CDC and Federal Government, we felt it was in the best interest of our church members, staff, and community to adhere to those guidelines, and for the last 10 weeks, we have gone to a completely online platform to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We have seen the outpouring of support and outreach from both our local and global audiences. As we have kept up-to-date with both federal and local guidelines, we have made the decision to begin the process of returning to church.

This does not mean that social distancing and other practices to limit the spread of the virus will be ignored, but will be the new normal for this season. We are still very committed to protecting our community and our church family. As we return to hosting in-person services, we will be opening in phases that will both stay in compliance with federal wisdom and allow our community to begin attending this House of Worship.

Date of Return

Sunday, May 31st

Service Times

9am, 11am, 1pm, 5pm

Registration will be required for the time being to attend church to keep our capacity at a lowered threshold.

We will begin our first service back on Sunday, May 31st at a lowered capacity with four service times and maintaining all social distancing guidelines put out by the CDC. We will also be aggressively disinfecting every touched area in-between services. In addition, we are providing masks and hand-sanitizing stations.

Are you an at-risk individual or someone who is ill? Please stay home.

While we are all eager to get back into Church, we want to do it with wisdom and discernment. Safety is of the utmost importance to us, and we want to protect the most vulnerable. If you are an at-risk individual (65+, underlying health condition, immunocompromised, etc), please do not attend our services until we have communicated it is safe to do so.

Here’s what to expect when you attend a Destiny service in-person.

Practice Social Distancing

Please continue to practice social distancing guidelines of keeping at least 6 feet between you and another individual who does not live in your household.

Seating in Sanctuary

To support social distancing measures, seating will be assigned by an usher when you walk into the building. There will be a number of seats required to distance yourself from another family.

Sanitation & Hygiene

We encourage you to wear a mask, wash your hands regularly, and avoid touching your face after touching a surface. While these are not mandatory, they are strongly recommended.
